In Adobe, select “Menu” in the top-left.
Select “Preferences” toward the bottom of the list.
In the left-hand nav bar, search for and select “Signatures”, then select “More” under “Identities & Trusted Certificates”.
Click on the icon shown in below to add a new Digital ID.
Select “A new digital ID I want to create now”, then “Next”.
Should default to “New PKCS#12 digital ID file”, but if not, select it then “Next”.
Enter your name, Organization Name, and Email Address. “Key Algorithm” should already default to “2048-bit RSA” and “Use digital ID for” should already default to “Digital Signatures and Data Encryption”. Then “Next”.
Create a password then “Finish”.
Digital ID should now show in the list like below.
To sign documents using you digital ID:
In Adobe, select “All Tools” from the top-left, then “Use a certificate”.
Select “Digitally sign”
It will have you create a block for the signature, then the window shown in the screenshot below will appear. Select your “Digital ID file”, then “Continue”.
Lastly, enter the password you created for your Digital ID, then click “Sign”. It will prompt you to save the document, then you’re all set!
